SAIC is seeking Data Architects to join the Machine-assisted Analytic Rapid-repository System (MARS) Advanced Development Operations (DevOps) and Sustainment Support (ADOS) program and provide on-site technical and administrative support to facilitate operations of critical MARS infrastructure and services.  This effort focuses on providing a comprehensive set of System/ Software Engineering and IT Services to maintain, sustain, enhance, and improve/ modernize MARS. 

The ideal candidate will be located in the National Capital Region. 

Please note that this is contingent upon contract award, with an anticipated decision expected by fall 2025.

The Data Architect responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and use associated advanced analytic and data science tools including data visualization, link analysis, correlation, sophisticated analytics programs, machine learning, and statistical methods to prepare data for use in predictive and prescriptive modeling.
• Develop architectural strategies for data modeling, design, and implementation to meet enterprise data management plan requirements.
• Develop data implementation roadmaps and standards for interoperability, data cataloguing, datasets, data quality, and entity attributes.
• Create and implement data business rules, data lifecycle management strategies, and data mapping documents to transition from legacy to target data models.
• Provide leadership on complex projects, overseeing project work plans, milestone tracking, and coordination of efforts in addition to formulating and delivering strategic goals for data architecture in collaboration with data owners, mission managers, and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
• CompTIA Security+ and/or Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP)
• Previous experience as a Data Architect, Data Engineer, Data Analyst, or related role.
• Proficiency in creating data mapping documents and transitioning to new data models.
• Expertise in applying new data technologies, data management processes, system analysis principles, process engineering concepts, and assessing data solutions for compliance with guidelines and policies.
• Comprehensive understanding of maintaining data dictionaries, data provenance, data models, and data catalogs in an enterprise IT and Agile environment.
• Experience with programming languages such as Python, Java, SQL, and cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google, and Oracle).

Level II: Bachelors and 5-8 years of experience or an additional 4 years of experience in lieu of degree.

Level III: Bachelors and 9-17 years of experience or an additional 4 years in lieu of degree.

Desired Qualifications:

• Database administrator certification (AWS, Microsoft, Oracle, or MongoDB).
• Demonstrated experience with data architecture tools such as ER/Studio, Erwin, or Lucid Chart.
• Experience working in DataOps, Agile, and DevSecOps environments.
• Experience with Big Data applications such as Hadoop and associated applications.

Target salary range: $160,001 - $200,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
