Training Specialist II
Onsite - Charlotte, NC
9 Month Contract (W2), Weekly Pay (40 hours/week)
Pay Rate: $42/hr.

Business Objective
Overnight travel may be required as this position will support all Duke Energy regions; travel expenses will be reimbursed. This position is responsible for developing Standard Operating Procedures, Safety Standards/Work Methods, & training curricula and training materials for the Supply Chain department. The incumbent should be able to: Demonstrate expertise in developing a wide range of operating procedures and training modalities; Support compliance and customer training needs by designing and administering training products and services for assigned projects to enable achievement of Company and business unit goals; Develop or revise training products and services in accordance with approved processes and directives; Identify issues, advise supervisor/project manager of status, and develop and execute plans of action to remedy, monitor, and control to minimize negative impact; Ensure adherence to established service metrics and tools for measuring performance; Serve as a project resource on applicable projects related to internal or vendor training and provide status updates in accordance with approved work management processes; Solves training problems by conducting a comprehensive training needs/tasks analysis and review data, situations, guidelines, precedents, and company trends; Ensure satisfaction of customers by delivering responsive, high quality and cost-effective products and services; is sensitive and responsive to customer needs and concerns.
Basic Qualifications:
• 5-7+ years instructional design, project management, development of operating procedures and training experience
• Experience in building blended learning curriculums for craft and non-craft employees.
• Excellent PC/technical skills with demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and extensive PowerPoint experience
• Experience in using Authoring Tools (Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate), Learning Management Systems (Cornerstone), SCORM compliant architecture, and other Instructional Development Tools, etc.
• Received formal training in adult learning/instructional design • Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills with ability to lead others through change. • Demonstrates ability to facilitate groups and presentation/ public speaking skills
Desired Qualifications:
• 3+ years’ experience working in a corporate learning function, a plus
• Supply Chain training development experience, a plus
