Bishop & Company is recruiting for a W2 contract Technical Analyst for our client in Honolulu, HI.

The Technical Analyst is a hybrid position requiring the ability to travel between business locations. The position is anticipated to last until June 2026.

Candidates must reside on Oahu. No 1099 or C2C. No relocation offered.

Key Responsibilities:

• Requirements Elicitation: Gather complex business, functional, non-functional, and technical requirements through interviews, document analysis, workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, and task/workflow analysis.

• Requirements Documentation and Analysis: Document and maintain detailed requirements using standard templates and natural language. Populate business requirements into Request for Proposal (RFP) formats. Assess vendor proposals to determine if they meet business requirements. Create testing artifacts and processes, including test plans, scripts, data, defect tracking/reporting, and end-user sign-off. Develop business process flows using Microsoft Visio and facilitate cross-functional meetings to finalize these flows. Assist in creating training materials and project communications.

• Communication and Collaboration: Proactively communicate and collaborate with internal and external customers to analyze information needs and requirements. Deliver and maintain SDLC analysis artifacts (state diagrams, use cases, UI prototypes, entity relationship diagrams, data dictionaries, etc.).

• Technical Vision and Problem Solving: Collaborate with IT team members and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision. Develop an understanding of business problems and opportunities in the context of requirements and recommend solutions that enable the organization to achieve its goals. Perform enterprise analysis to understand the needs of the business, its strategic direction, and identify initiatives to meet strategic goals.

• Feasibility Studies and Recommendations: Conduct feasibility studies to develop recommendations for new systems and alternative hardware/software solutions. Assist users with streamlining department automation by reviewing current software and recommending changes. Review and evaluate user requests for system modifications and recommend actions/alternatives to management.

• Stakeholder Partnership: Establish partnerships with stakeholders across the organization and act as a liaison for specific projects and operational tasks.

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of analyst experience
• Previous experience gathering and analysing complex business requirements
• Strong presentation and communication skills

Pay: 45-55/hr
