Human Resources Manager

Location: Downtown Los Angeles, CA (On-site, Monday–Friday)

Reports To: VP of People & Business Operations

Overview

Spinelli Kilcollin is seeking a thoughtful, hands-on Human Resources Manager to help scale and streamline the systems that support our most important asset, our team. This position plays a central role in ensuring the smooth function of our office, the success of our people operations, and the overall employee experience.

This manager will work closely with the VP of People & Business Operations to help oversee the department and to support company-wide initiatives across HR, recruitment, facilities, internal IT, and culture.

Key Responsibilities

People Operations

  • Manage day-to-day HR administration, partnering with the HR & Office Coordinator on onboarding, benefits, training, and employee engagement
  • Drive process improvements across HR workflows, tools, and compliance practices
  • Support performance management cycles, feedback systems, and employee development initiatives
  • Partner on recruitment strategy and oversee execution of candidate pipelines and onboarding
  • Help roll out new HR policies, trainings, and internal communications in alignment with company values
  • Serve as an employee resource for workplace questions, feedback, and resolution pathways

Office & Workplace Experience

  • Oversee office operations and ensure facilities are welcoming, efficient, and safe
  • Coordinate with IT and external vendors to maintain smooth technical infrastructure and connectivity
  • Support company event planning (monthly birthdays, team activities, seasonal gatherings)
  • Collaborate on office software rollouts, training schedules, and documentation for internal systems

Project Management & Administration

  • Serve as point person for cross-functional ops initiatives involving people, facilities, and systems
  • Monitor and report on key operational and people metrics (e.g., headcount tracking, office usage, onboarding feedback)
  • Create and maintain process documentation for HR, office, and administrative SOPs
  • Step in on special projects as needed by the VP of People & Business Operations

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in people operations, office/facilities management, or business operations
  • Prior experience managing or mentoring junior team members
  • Strong organizational and project management skills; able to juggle competing priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Deep familiarity with Google Workspace, HRIS tools, and basic IT coordination
  • A team-first attitude with a strong sense of discretion, professionalism, and empathy

Compensation

$80,000 – $85,000 per year, based on experience
