Summary:
This position reports directly to the Executive Director of HR & Operations. They are responsible for immersing students (grades 6- 12th grade) in the good news of Jesus Christ through exciting atmospheres and creative b iblical teachings. This position will be responsible for developing a strategy to empower & equip leaders to grow Hope Students numerically and spiritually. This includes pursuing new initiatives in partnership with the vision of the Senior Pastor. This position will ultimately be responsible for coordinating the overall weekend experience for the Student Ministry and contributing to the church's overall health. This role is also responsible for engaging students outside of the weekly Sunday experience, not limited to: planning events, developing healthy relationships with students through attending extracurricular activities, and being a vailable /accessible to students for prayer and mentorship. This role is expected to attend all weekly staff meetings and any necessary meetings as requested
Training and Equipping :
Manage, model and coach students & servant leaders through appropriate and effective student based teachings and practices. As the Director of Hope Students, this includes weekly one on ones to provide guidance, support, and leadership to servant leaders & students throughout the duration of their time, to produce healthy learning and engagement for all. Recruit servant leaders and develop teams to augment all ministry efforts. This role is also responsible to partner with parents to be the primary disciple makers for their children.
Operations:
Lead the weekly experiences by serving the Hope students in an engaging and relevant atmosphere. Develop and implement weekly teachings for both large and small group learning aligned to the curriculum that has been agreed upon by the Senior Pastor & the employees direct report. Establish consistent connection with students throughout the week with phone calls, mailers, spiritual check ins and discipleship moments.
Administrative Duties:
Management of administrative weekly tasks that includes expense reports, budgets, purchase requests, scheduling through Planning Center, and weekly calls to servant leaders within Hope Students. Also, overseeing and managing all safety background checks for servant leaders within Hope Students, making sure they are up to date and occur every 2 years.
Environment Management:
Overseeing all areas of Hope Students to create an engaging environment and experience from the hallways to the Student Center. Ensuring all equipment and environments are to up date and functioning properly, which includes but not limited to; all technology, physical space, paint, flooring, lighting and décor, etc.
