A privately held, high-performing financial services firm headquartered in Charlotte is seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Financial Officer to lead its finance and accounting operations. The CFO will serve as a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for shaping financial strategy, ensuring operational excellence, and supporting the firm's continued expansion. The ideal candidate will be both strategic and hands-on, capable of navigating complex financial environments while building scalable infrastructure to support long-term success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead all aspects of financial management, including accounting, FP&A, treasury, tax, and regulatory reporting
• Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with business objectives
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis to drive data-informed decision-making
• Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and internal controls
• Manage relationships with external stakeholders including auditors, banks, and regulatory bodies
• Partner with senior leadership to evaluate growth opportunities, capital deployment, and risk management
• Build and mentor a high-performing finance team

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as CFO or senior finance executive in a financial services, trading, or capital markets environment
• Deep understanding of financial instruments, trading operations, and high-volume transaction environments
• Strong technical accounting background; CPA or equivalent preferred
• Demonstrated success in scaling finance functions and implementing systems and processes
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and strategic thinking skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial culture
