Job Description
Under the direction of the VP of Business Informatics, the Business Informatics Specialist will support Business Informatics and other operational departments by developing key metrics and reporting tools as well as continued analysis of key organization functions through the use of Tableau, COGNOS and Microsoft Office (mainly Excel). This position will have cross-functional responsibilities and will support various departments including, but not limited to, Sales, Client Success, Clinical, Claims, Pharmacy Network and Trade. This position will contribute, monitor and report on the success of key tactical strategies as well as identify opportunities for the organization. This role will also present report finds to internal departments, current clients, prospective clients and other external parties.
Must report on site 5 days a week
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop Python scripts to assist with automation of reporting outputs and process improvements
- Utilize Tableau to build and manage reports and dashboards for all areas of business.
- Develop and maintain reporting tools as required to measure success of organization functions including development of weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly reports.
- Utilize COGNOS reporting software to identify and analyze data necessary from the Data warehouse to support key organizational strategies.
- Build Dashboards and reports within COGNOS for enterprise data solutions.
- Utilize Geographical Access Reporting tools to analyze and identify opportunities for the organization to leverage.
- Perform in depth reporting for current, new and prospective clients. In support of our Sales and Client Success initiatives
- Create and manage reports to monitor pharmacy and client contract guarantees and identify performance adjustments needed to adhere to the contracts.
- Craft reports to oversee client performance goals, and report on the outcomes.
- Perform QA of your own work and other BI Team member's work
- Support the Business Request process by helping develop rules for planning the request and QA of the final request before release
- Other duties as assigned
JOB REQUIREMENTS: - Experience with Python coding preferred
- College degree or equivalent work experience
- Proficiency with database management tools and presentation of data analysis
- Strong Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access) experience and skills
- COGNOS Business Software knowledge
- Tableau experience and skills preferred
- Experience in or knowledge of prescription claim adjudication preferred
- Must have exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills
- Must be detail oriented, dependable, and motivated
- Professional written and verbal communication skills necessary
