Sea New York blends romantic, vintage-inspired silhouettes with modern, thoughtful detailing. As a high-end women’s wear brand based in NYC, we are committed to craftsmanship, quality, and originality.

We are currently seeking an  Associate Designer to join our design team. In this role, you will support the Senior Designer and Creative Director in the development of seasonal collections. This is an excellent opportunity for a creative and detail-oriented individual who is passionate about the design process and eager to grow within a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Primary Responsibilities

Including but not limited to:

  • Contribute to the development of seasonal concepts and color stories through trend and market research
  • Attend fittings and provide focused, proactive input to ensure a smooth product development process
  • Create detailed tech packs with accurate construction details, measurements, trims, and fabric information for both development and production
  • Develop and maintain CADs and presentation boards for internal reviews, sales, and line sheets
  • Assist in sourcing local fabrics and trims
  • Help prepare and alter samples for market
  • Support the preparation of design presentations for internal and external meetings
  • Collaborate effectively within the design team and assist other team members as needed
  • Ensure all calendar deadlines and milestones are met

Candidate Requirements:

· Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Design 2+ years of relevant experience

· Strong aesthetic intelligence with a passion for style and fashion

· Proactively solves problems and effectively manage multiple challenges in an organized but flexible manner. 

· Strong organizational skills, time management, problem solving skills, and attention to detail

· Driven by commitment, high standards, and innovation

· Able to work fast, efficient, and nimble under pressure in a shifting and collaborative environment

Specialized Knowledge & Skills:

· Demonstrated experience working with  Embroidery and Print CAD.

· Ability to interpret embroidery design concepts.

· Knowledge of various embroidery techniques and applications

· Ability to sketch and draw flats

· Good knowledge of garment construction

· Strong computer knowledge including Photoshop, Illustrator, Microsoft Excel

Compensation: $65,000–$70,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
