LHH is assisting a client in South Charlotte with their need for an Accounts Payable Lead . This is a great opportunity to lead a small Accounts Payable team and drive success. This is a fully onsite, direct hire position. Competitive compensation and benefits and a positive culture!

Responsibilities

• Supervise, mentor, and support small accounts payable team
• Manage invoice processing, accuracy, and payment distribution
• Maintain vendor relationships and resolve payment issues
• Administer and optimize AP systems and software
• Prepare AP reports, assist with month/year-end closings, and support audits
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, GAAP, and regulatory requirements
• Lead process improvements and automation projects
• Oversee expense reimbursements and corporate credit cards
• Develop AP policies and deliver staff training
• Coordinate with finance to optimize cash flow

Requirements

• 5+ years AP or accounting experience
• Must have some leadership or managerial experience
• Strong organizational skills
• Proficiency in accounting software and Excel
• Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills
• Must be able to work onsite in south Charlotte, NC
